This is the day we get to sing in the famous Frauenkirche, Dresden, rebuilt from the rubble of war, and re-opened in October 2005.

Our first view of Dresden as the bus crosses the Elbe River on the way to the city centre. Dresden is known as The Florence of the Elbe.

Rich in culture and beautiful architecture.

Richard and choristers admire the interior of Frauenkirche.

People start streaming into the church.

Frauenkirche from the outside. A statue in honour of Martin Luther stands in the square outside. The darker stones are ones picked from the rubble, and placed where they once were.

Choristers and spouses on a self guided tour of Dresden City Centre

Some choristers take refuge from the inclement weather in a city centre mall. There was a special display of the famous Meissen porcelain. meissen is just up the river from Dresden.

After leaving Dresden we contiued our journey on to Prague, where we checked into our hotel, the Bila Libut, and ended the day having dinner on a Vlatava River cruise boat. Great fun as you can see. All in all it was a very long day - but extremely satisfying.
