Seeing the great city of Vienna

In the afternoon we saw some of Vienna by bus, and then by walking around. We ended the afternoon at the Haus der Musik, where we performed an informal concert in the lobby.
Getting on and off this double decker bus took time for our group of almost 70 people. Erich, our driver was terrific. We were amazed at some of the spots he manouvered through.

Just a few samples of the magnificent buildings in Vienna.

Not sure what this building is - a parliament, or court house, perhaps.

We stopped by some carriages, but no one in our group had time for a ride. At this point we had time for some lunch on our own, or free time to wander arround.

Those who wanted to take advantage of Christine's knowledge and expertise, met up with her.

As we sauntered along we spotted some familiar faces.

Mozart is revered in Vienna, as well as in Salzburg.

Elfrieda chats with Christine.

Elfrieda poses in fromt of a Meyr. Wrong spelling but the right mood. The name Lobmeyr means 'praise Meyr'. She's OK with that.

I spot an interesting window display, as we get closer to the Haus der Musik.
